During a visit, staff go through an on-screen interview with the client, the system fills in the agency's paper forms, and the client (or their representative) signs each form on screen. On 29 Sep 2026 Jane showed the customer the Start of Care \/ Annual (SOC\/AO) visit on site. This issue is one item from their feedback (item **W1** in `docs\/ActionItems.md`).\n\n## What the customer said\n**Nobody signs for the client if the client signs.**\n\n## How it works today\nThe \"signed on behalf of the client\" (representative \/ authority) questions and signature lines are shown even when the client signs for themselves.\n\n## What to do\nWhen the visit records that the client signs personally:\n- hide the representative questions (name, relationship, authority), and\n- leave the representative signature lines unsigned and blank on the paper.\n\n## Technical notes\nElements: `shared.release.authority` and the consenting-person signing slots.
